Established in 1990, Mandina’s Inspection Services, Inc is an NDT Company located just outside New Orleans, LA. Our Founder and President
He has earned NDT certifications from the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) as a Level III in Radiography (R/T), Ultrasonic (U/T), Magnetic Particle (M/T), Liquid Penetrant (P/T), and Visual Inspections (V/T). He also maintains his National Aerospace Standard (NAS410) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level 3. As an active member of ASNT, Mandina pioneered UT Phased Array and TOFD Inspections and remains at the forefront of providing these services as the corporate Level III for major companies in markets such as Shanghai, Dubai, the Netherlands, and across the United States.
David has served in many facets of the ASNT Local and National Organization. In 2011 he was elected to the ASNT National Board of Directors and presented with his ASNT Fellow for his contributions to the NDT Industry. He continued his service to the industry as ASNT President from 2017-2018 and ASNT Chairman of the Board in 2018-2019.
Mr. Mandina is an American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE), American Petroleum Institute (API) 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, American Petroleum Institute (API) 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector, American Petroleum Institute (API) 570 Piping Inspector as well as a certified Quality Auditor for the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He taught at the New Orleans Regional Vo-Tech Institute as a Nondestructive Testing Instructor and Radiation Safety Officer and has worked as the Chief Welding Inspector for major construction projects including offshore, onshore and turnarounds. He performs quality audits thereof and was a member of Shell Offshore Inc.’s Deepwater Audit Team (Auger, Ursa, Mars and Ram Powell). He assisted in developing the quality standards for the above referenced locations. Mr. Mandina has served as an expert witness for cases involving nondestructive testing, mechanical integrity, quality inspection and construction. He has also worked in conjunction with the International Atomic Energy Agency and Malta developing customized training to bridge Radiography and Cultural Heritage.
