Magnetic Particle Testing Level I and Level II
Course Description:
This course covers the body of knowledge for Magnetic Particle Inspection Level I and Level II. It teaches the fundamentals of Magnetism and theory. MT Level I and II includes the individual’s techniques within the Method. The techniques Yokes, Prods, Coils, Head and Tails Shots, and Central Conductor.
Course Objectives:
Understand the theory of Magnetism and Electromagnets.
Understand Direct and Indirect Induction and Longitudinal and Circular Fields.
Understand the different types of Particles used, and their advantages and disadvantages when performing Magnetic Particle Inspections.
Knowledge of MT techniques and their advantages and disadvantages.
Knowledge of the discontinuities that can be found using Magnetic Particle Inspections.
