Course Description:
This Course covers the body of knowledge for Ultrasonic Limited Inspection Digital Thickness (Numeric Output Only). It introduces the basic principles and fundamentals of Ultrasound and wave propagation. It details the requirements and equipment used to perform thickness readings.
Course Objectives:
• Understanding the theory of sound and wave propagation.
• Understanding the different types of transducers and their limitations.
• Knowledge of the equipment and its basic controls.
• Knowledge of the sequence of steps when taking thickness readings.
• Completing the calibration for inspection of the thickness gauge.
